Do you know the history of your denomination? Do you know who Adam Clarke is? Have you read his commentary on Genesis 3? If so what do you think. Personally I believe him to have been a brilliant man of God although I differ with a little of Methodist doctrine. If you don't know of him, your not very knowledgeable about the history your own denomination, you are missing out on some of the best commentaries of your predecessors. What a shame that would be. He has so much knowledge recorded for your benefit.
