My ex bf is on my facebook. How do I manage myself?

My long distance ex bf broke off with me 2 weeks ago saying he cant deal with the distance but wanted to remain friends. Since he broke it off, I'm avoiding him so he misses me. If he's on my facebook, how is he going to miss me? He'll be able to read all the massages I post to friends. Its a good thing because he will know I'm alright after the break up but at the same time will he miss me when he still has a 'connection' through facebook?
