I am only 13 and going through puberty. Because of my rapid weight loss and gaining, I managed to get stretch marks on my hips, inner thighs, and on my waist. I got a French Manicure a month ago and one of them broke including the tip. This is my first set of nails and thought I could just nail glue them back on well it got very painful and sore so I did manage to pull it a little bit I did not rip my fake nail off, but I had to use acetone just to get it all off. I worked a few years ago for an american company's representative office in Asia. Originally, they give me a title of Secretary because Foreign Entreprise's secretary was a big deal and a good job with good pay at the time. Hey, I studied Duffy and Armitage, but have read some Clarke, not Heaney though. However, despite not having done both groups, i'm still glad that i got to study Duffy and Armitage. not least of all because Duffy is now Poet Laureate, but also because i saw Armitage at a poetry conference, and he was AWESOME. What a guy. His poetry always surprises me in the fact that it is deeply personal, but at the same time, so universal that it feels as if he has put exactly what i have thought into words. How did GM manage to get such little power out of their motors?

Ok so I like GM products a lot. I think they are pretty good looking a feel pretty solidly built. One thing that has always bothered me is how they got so LITTLE power out of such big motors. Take the 3400 series V6 that comes in many Pontiac sedans. It has 180HP. FROM 3.4 LITERS!!!! Or how the classic 5.7L V8 that was in many camaros manages to barely break 200 HP. I mean I know technology has advanced but not THAT much. AND they were still making a lot of these motors into 2005 when WAY smaller motors produced more HP and torque. A Honda 4 banger of the same period could pump out over 200 HP. A 2003 Acura 3.2L V6 produced 240HP in the TL type S. They couldn't get more than 180 out of a 3.4? If you have 3.4 or 5.7 liters of motor it almost seems impossible not to get more power out of them. So I guess my question is, what design flaw or oversight existed to allow these monster motors to produce such tiny amounts of power?

Is this a good story plot?

Question for Austin women?

I'll be moving to Austin in September. I've visited there a few times after getting out of college here in Boston. I did some traveling to decide which would be the best place to settle in. There were only a handful of states I didn't go to. For some reason, and I don't know why, but a lot of places I went to, women (and I'm 23) in too many of these places just had very little idea of what class is. Too many places seem to be overrun with females dressing skimpy, talking like they don't have a clue (the word "like" every third word), and very little concept of culture-other than trashy pop culture. The whole Stepford cloning of those big sunglasses, furry boots, and mindless drivel was pretty common. But somehow, and I'm not sure why, but women in Austin (in my age group) were NOTHING like this! They seem to have a solid concept of class! Of course, they're the best looking women I'm sure I'll ever see (the blondes and brunettes down there literally put me in a state of shock!), but I noticed many things other than that. The places they frequented and things they did for example. The Warehouse District was FULL of (as was Town Lake) classy twentysomething, highly educated women who were secure in themselves, not literally walking around with a LOOK AT ME! sign painted on their foreheads. It was as if they were secure in themselves. I enjoyed many topics of conversation with a few educated beauties there, mostly at outdoor restaurants and a few bistros (of which are numerous). Church may play a part in it, as almost all I met were Christians, and maybe UT plays a part as well. They loved working out I noticed, and talking about the arts was big as well. They weren't into this whole conformity cloned thing (big sunglasses, furry boots, dressed scantily) AT ALL! I don't know how you do it, but I've never met more classy, educated females anywhere I've been, and trust me, it's not even close! How diverse they are was SHOCKING! I honestly would never have suspected that. Another thing that was readily apparent is how open minded women there are, that stood out right away! Most places now, so many women are snobby, or plain rude. But there, the women were very friendly to anyone, and extremely open minded. So how do you do it? How do you manage to not fall into these traps that have become like a plague in too many places? To be so open minded, have class, and be so educated, whereas most seem to have forgotten that? Why is my motorcycle making that noise?

I have a 1981 yamaha 1100 xs. This morning i was riding it to work and and it was fine. Halfway through my ride, i was on the freeway and my bike starts losing power. I manage to make it to work which is just off the freeway and when i stop, my bike is idling just under 1k rpms and it dies. After work the same exact thing happens except that i made it home. when it started to lose power it sounded almost like a lawnmower engine. I had to really get on the throttle to keep it going. It kinda felt like it was shaking a little bit. which i'm sure isn't normal. i put it in the 2nd choke setting and it seemed okay to get me home. I'm not a motorcycle mechanic obviously so if anyone has had this problem and has the solution would be a great help. thanks in advance

There is no need to compare yourself with anyone else, work on your own pace, everyone is different. As long as you're not getting told by your teacher/supervisor that you need to pull your weight in a certain area then there is nothing to worry about. It's not your job to judge who is better than who. You're in competition with yourself only. You try and beat your own score and not anyone elses. :) That way you're being realistic and enjoy your time there. :)

DS issues (Sound and wi-fi)?

I am considering studying electrical engineering at uni but I'm not sure if its the subject for me. How come itunes is saying my "disk is full?"?

The big problem here I see, is we all know there have been cases of men falsely accused of rape and been convicted. The miscarriage of justice is not uncovered for many years. Now if you tell the accused he will get a lighter sentence if he pleads guilty and say that person is not particularly intelligent, it's much more difficult later to prove a miscarriage of justice even if he is innocent. Hair Extension glue Stuck in my hair?

I am not an expert in law but I was wondering this because it seems like men who have been falsely accused of rape will be encouraged to plead guilty to reduce their sentence if it is apparent that no one on the jury believes them. first my probation officer issues a warrant for my arrest; 2 hours later i show up to his office. he tells me i have not paid on my fines($1933.00) and i failed to report.so, i get arrested and he told me sense i completed my community service( which i volunteered for) i can bond out in means of paying my entire fine(cash only). so, my mom managed to pay my fine given that i'm in college and she didn't want me to be dropped from school. now that i'm released from jail my probation officer told me i still have to go to court to revoke my conditional discharge. now let me state the facts, on January 3,2010 i was arrested for shoplifting,obstruction, and false information to a police officer. yes! indeed this was very stupid, however the judge felt that since it was my first time in trouble and i was still in high school with good grades she gave me a second chance. i was given 2 years probation and if i completed it, my record will continue to stay clear. i must admit my probation officer has been very patient with me, however, i live in a very small town in south Georgia; so getting a job was very difficult and majority of the first year of my probation i was pregnant. all i have positive in my life is that i'm in college with a gpa of 3.3. i have hopes of graduating with a b.a. in sociology and to become a social worker, juvenile counselor or probation officer. besides that while i'm getting my degree i want to join the army and learn about information technology and hopefully get a couple of certifications to become a computer specialist or something of that nature. i go to court July 19 to see if i am able to keep my conditional discharge so my record will remain clear. my question is what usually happens at the revocation hearing? and if the judge does decide to take away my conditional discharge will i still be able to enlist in the army? what can i possibly say or do to keep this conditional discharge?
